Psychedelic Integration & Preparation
Support before and after a psychedelic experience — preparation for those seeking treatment, and integration to make meaning of what arose.
This is not a psychedelic therapy session
This is preparation and integration support — not the experience itself. It is for people getting ready for treatment in a legal clinic, trial or retreat, and for people processing something they have already been through, including a difficult one.
The importance of preparation
How you arrive shapes what unfolds. Preparation helps you set intention, understand what may come up, and build the ground of safety and support that lets an experience do its work.
Integration
The experience will always end. Regardless of how amazing, blissful or horrifying your experience is, it will end. Integration is how the insight becomes lasting change — turning what was glimpsed into how you live.
What a session involves
A preparation or integration session is a structured conversation, not a psychedelic experience itself — no substances are administered or discussed in terms of dosing, and nothing here replaces the clinical, legal or medical process you're already going through elsewhere. Sessions run 1.5 hours, either in person at La Tierra Curativa on the Central Coast, or online over Zoom or phone, which means the support travels with you whether you're preparing for something local or something interstate or overseas. In preparation work, the focus is on intention, expectation and building a felt sense of safety before you go in. In integration work, the focus is on making sense of what came up — including material that was confusing, difficult or hard to hold — and translating it into something that actually changes how you live, rather than a memory that fades.
Who this is for
This suits people preparing for treatment in a legal clinic, trial or retreat. It suits people who've already had an experience — recently or years back — and still haven't made sense of it. And it suits people who want ongoing support alongside their own psychologist, psychiatrist or prescribing clinician, or who've been sitting on something difficult with nowhere structured to bring it. You don't need a background in this kind of work. You don't even need to have decided what any of it meant yet — that's part of what the sessions are for.
How Andrew works with this
Andrew brings both sides to this work: formal training as a PACFA-registered counsellor in Counselling and Processwork Psychotherapy, Mind Medicine Australia's Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies (CPAT), and years of his own experience holding ceremony and shamanic healing space. That combination means the conversation isn't purely clinical or purely experiential — it holds both the psychological process and the more felt, symbolic dimension of what people bring back from these experiences, without collapsing one into the other.
In person on the Central Coast, Gold Coast and Sydney — or online anywhere
In-person sessions run at La Tierra Curativa on the Central Coast NSW, and Andrew tours regularly to Gold Coast and Sydney — so if you're searching for psychedelic integration support near you in any of these areas, an in-person session is a real option, not just words on a page. This work also travels well over a screen: online sessions over Zoom or phone suit anyone preparing for treatment elsewhere in Australia or overseas, or who'd simply rather not travel for a 1.5-hour conversation.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as a ceremony?
No. This is preparation and integration support only — no substances are administered here. If you're looking for ceremony itself, that's a separate offering (see Mapacho Tobacco Ceremony); this page is specifically about the conversation and support around a psychedelic experience you're preparing for, or have already had, elsewhere.
Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to book a session?
No referral is needed. People come with a wide range of situations — some are formally enrolled in a clinical trial or legal clinic, others are processing a past experience privately. Get in touch to talk through whether this is the right fit for where you are.
Can preparation or integration sessions be done online?
Yes. Sessions are available in person at La Tierra Curativa on the Central Coast, or online over Zoom or phone — useful if you're preparing for treatment interstate or overseas, or simply prefer not to travel.
How many sessions do people usually need?
It varies. Some people come for a single preparation session before a booked treatment; others want ongoing integration support over several sessions as the material keeps unfolding. This is discussed in your first conversation rather than set in advance.
Is this a replacement for my psychologist, psychiatrist or GP?
No. This is not medical treatment and does not replace the care of your prescribing clinician, psychologist or GP — it sits alongside that care as preparation and integration support.
What if my experience was difficult or I'm still finding it hard to make sense of?
That's a common reason people book. Integration support is there for experiences that felt confusing, overwhelming or hard to hold, not only the ones that felt clear or positive. The first conversation is about helping you find your footing with it, at your pace.
